How to write a poem. Any poem.
Start with an idea.
boil it down, make it simpler.
this is what your poem about.
Now write something about it.
A fact.
something you want someone to know.
something solid, a hook.
Now that your reader is reading its time to lay it down.
whatever deep knowledge you are trying to convey.
keep using a rhythm so as not to lose your reader.
then switch, to your new topic.
the other half of your argument
the reason they should keep reading.
and remember to only use
part of a sentence per line
in order to make them read the next one.
I like this poem. I'm not sure if I'm reading it the right way but I feel like it is kind of playfully making fun of poetry and the conventions of writing and I like that.
